A pair of solid fourteen carat gold and bullet sapphire cabochon cufflinks in a 'folding' style.  These are very handsome on the cuff, and are also very simple to put on.  A complaint with most traditionally made links.  Both of the round ends to the cufflink are hinged, and fold down onto the cuff, holding them in place on the cuff.  The cufflinks are set with four bullet cabochon sapphires.  A trademark of Cartier from the early 20th Century.  A similar cabochon can be seen set in most Cartier wrist watches, even to this day.  They look very stylish on, and add a little colour and detail to what is an unfussy link. The cufflinks are fully signed Cartier, with stamped serial number '2535', and '14k'.  Made in America, circa 1940's.
