A solid eighteen carat yellow gold Omega Constellation model with an unusual solid gold mirror dial. This watch has the classic Constellation case with the 'dog leg' lugs and very clean and sharp geometric detail overall. These cases represent classic Omega styling, and really leaves very little not to like. There were mainly three case makers that made these cases for Omega. This Constellation is made by the largest Omega case-maker, "CB," La Cetrale Boîtes of Bien, who were entrusted to execute many "Constellation" Omega cases as well as some of the most iconic of all Omega watches; the Speedmaster.

Caliber 501, nineteen jeweled The dial is a non-luminous dial, with the hands also featuring no Tritium. The faceted arrow head like gold markers also feature no lume plots applied to the end of each.. These dials are marked "Swiss Made" at the base, without the “T “for Tritium.
The case on this reference 2583SC overall is excellent. The lugs are solid and strong and the case shows no signs of polishing. The pie pan style dial is so glamorous in the high shine edge and matte polished center on this “Luxe” and is in perfect condition.
These watches wear well, wearing large thanks to the large dials, slim cases and longer lugs. This version marks the best, most expensive reference of this iconic watch. If you are looking for the best Omega had to offer in the 1950’s, then this is it.
